Born in Abilene, Texas, and raised in Dallas, Lawrence R. (Larry) Bell graduated from Highland Park High School and obtained a bachelor's degree from Rice University in Houston.
He spent 20 years in the insurance business and was honored with several national awards before becoming a commercial real estate broker in the 1980's. He is a recognized expert in the commercial real estate industry specializing in tenant representation, and has represented some of the largest companies across the nation.
In 1981, Mr. Bell founded the Houston's resident professional choral music organization, Concert Chorale of Houston and organized a performance of Handel's Messiah in 1982 which was aired in a nationally televised broadcast on PBS.
Now, Mr. Bell is enjoying antiques, pictures, and running websites with his wife, Anne, in Georgetown, Texas. The two now also have a retail store which markets antiques and picture printing and framing services. He and his wife boast 6 children between them, and 5 grandchildren.
