Amorini

Amorini are defined as the plural of the Italian term "amorino", and are chubby naked Cupid figures from The Italian Renaissance appearing in paintings, carved on furniture, and in ceramics.

Amorini are often used as if synonymous with Cupids or Putti. The amorini and Cupid have wings, while Cupid also carried a bow and arrow. Putti are portrayed without having wings.
Amorini
Amorini Amorini dating from the 17th Century are especially present in Italian Renaissance and Baroque art, and in English art following the Restoration. They were also popular as carvings on the front stretchers and crestings of chairs and upon other furniture.
