Red Wing Pottery earned it’s first official name as “Red Wing Stoneware” in 1878. Around the turn of the century, the pottery company completely renovated the type of pottery they produced, and began creating pottery in the classic “Bristol” style (this created a soft glaze rather than a pored surface).
